A MAN ALWAYS CRIES ON HIS OWN

By Mickey Jupp
Every night I sit reflecting on the way we used to be
Last thing I was expecting, never dreamed you’d say goodbye to me

I’ve been down since you told me you’re in love with somebody else
I’ve found no one to console me, so I guess I’ll just feel sorry for myself

Babies got mommas and daddies, doggie can chew on a bone
Woman always got someone to lean on, but a man always cries on his own

Every day I wake up thinking just how useless you make me feel
Like a chain without a link in, like a wagon without a wheel
My soul starts getting cloudy, my eyes begin to rain
Please won’t somebody hide me, ‘til the sun shines on my heart again

Babies got mommas and daddies, doggie can chew on a bone
Woman always got someone to lean on, but a man always cries on his own

Yes a man always cries on his own
